A tabletop covered in scattered family photographs and postcards

Your photographs never leave the house.

We digitize your family's photos and home videos on-site, in a single day, at your kitchen table. Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.

Every family has the boxes.

In a closet, under a bed, or in a parent's apartment that has to be emptied by the end of the month. Thousands of photographs, a stack of tapes nobody owns a player for, and no good way to deal with any of it.

The usual answer is to mail your only copies to a warehouse in another state and wait six weeks for them to come back. Most people never do it, and we understand exactly why.

So we come to you instead.

Newmonic arrives with a full scanning setup and works in your home while you are there. When we leave, you have a drive with everything on it, a backup copy, and every original still in your hands.

Nothing gets shipped. Nothing gets left behind.

Old photographs, slides, an album and a 1956 parade ribbon spread across a wooden table

Prints and albums

Loose photos, bound albums, magnetic pages, odd sizes, and the fragile ones that have to come out by hand.

Tape and video

VHS, VHS-C, Hi8, Video8 and MiniDV, transferred while the photos scan. Tape from the eighties and nineties is actively degrading and does not have forever.

The writing on the back

Dates, names and notes on the reverse get captured and attached to the photo they belong to, so the collection is still searchable years from now.

Slides and negatives

Scanned on-site alongside everything else. They run slower than prints, so we plan the day around how many you have rather than sending them anywhere.

Organized the way you think

Files named and sorted by year, by event, by side of the family. Whatever you tell us as we go. Not four thousand files called IMG_4021.

Handed back the same day

A drive before we leave, plus a second backup copy. Cloud access as well if you want your family to be able to see it.

A spread of vintage New York City postcards

How a day works.

1

Tell us roughly what you have

A rough count is plenty. Three shoeboxes and a bag of tapes is a perfectly good description. We will tell you whether it is a half day or a full one, and what it will cost, before we book anything.

2

We set up in your home

Usually a kitchen table or a spare room. You are welcome to sit with us and tell us who everyone is, which makes the finished archive far better, or leave us to it and check in at lunch.

3

Everything goes back before we go

Your originals, a drive, and a backup copy, all of it the same day. Your photographs never go in a box, never go in a truck, and never leave the room you keep them in.

Ask us

Introductory rates while we build our reviews. Estates, larger collections and anything on a deadline are quoted directly, and we are glad to work alongside move managers and estate professionals.

Tell us what is in the closet.

Send a rough idea of what you have and where you are. We will come back with a price and a date, usually the same day.
